Brympton Grace

Working with such a glorious Wedding venue in Somerset it is never hard to become inspired to create something extra special for the Brympton Brides.
This year the option of having an outdoors ceremony in the Four Seasons Temple has been too hard to resist and many brides have booked the weather permitting option.
This was the answer to dressing the temple elegantly and tastefully without detracting from the beauty of the temple itself.
As a styling option this will without doubt be this seasons winner.

Country Summer weddings

Inspiration is needed in the depth of Winter for all the up coming Summer weddings.
Country styling is still popular with Brides for Country House Weddings.
Compliment the grounds and back drop of your chosen venue with typically English floral arrangements and vintage china.
Just add a Beautiful Bride and a dashingly handsome Groom and stand back and watch!!

Renaissance Grace vintage tea party drinks reception

Working round the weather is always a problem, however guests at Navin and Charlotte's wedding were lucky as the rain held off and they were able to enjoy a vintage tea out on the south terrace at Brympton d'Evercy.
An English ceremony on the Friday led into a full Indian ceremony on the Saturday, a full on but very exciting weekend with a bollywood style dance lesson for 150 on the lawn Saturday afternoon in glorious sunshine.

Brympton d'Evercy Wedding 27th Nov 2010

This weekend saw the marriage of Amy and Josh at the beautiful fairytale venue of Brympton d'Evercy.
Dressing the house with magical storm lanterns, church candles, swags of ivy and bay was my job as arrived on the Thursday.
Amy and Josh arrived late afternoon on Friday with house guests close behind them.
A house party in the star chamber was the evening's entertainment with a roaring fire in the grate of the largest fire place in the house.
Early morning breakfast Saturday morning with the lads off for a clay pigeon shoot leaving Amy and her 9 bridesmaids (yes 9!) to get ready for the ceremony. Tayna Jane on hand for hair and makeup did a fabulous job as yet another beautifully coiffured bridesmaid appeared downstairs.
The time soon ticked round to 3.30 and further guests started to collect in The Great Hall grateful for the blazing fire after their long journeys.
Amy looked radiant as she left the bedroom making her way down the great staircase with her father and bridesmaids.
Josh was already in The dower House waiting with best man. The twinkly lights adorning the beams sparkled with the lit church candles making a warm welcome.
Bridesmaids entered with lanterns handed out to them as they made their way down the aisle with Amy and her Father following.
Laughter and tears followed as vows were made and the married couple happily walked arm in arm back towards the house.

Thanks to Katia Marsh our fabulous Brympton photographer, Nigel Peirce who pulled out all the stops to transport the wedding party to a Moroccan themed evening reception.
Jane for all the fabulous food based on a Moroccan theme.
Renaissance grace supplied all the venue House styling.

Renaissance Grace wishes a long and happy marriage to Amy and Josh

Renaissancegrace legacy sponsership

The first year of work under the Renaissancegrace legacy sponsership is nearly completed.
£20,000 has been raised and spent on the furnishings throughout Brympton d'Evercy.
The 5 state rooms are on target to be completed in under 2 more years, 2 years quicker than we originally estimated.
Overwhelming challenges are often avoided in life however when the impossible is achieved you live on the most amazing high for most of the project. I want to thank all the supporters of the project both local to Somerset and as far away as Gainsborough silk weaving company in Suffolk.
Thank you to the local hotels who put up with me on my many dashes to Somerset to be on-site always arriving late and needing hospitality and a shoulder to cry on if in dispair about a set back.
A special than you to Tom and Richard from the Hollies Hotel and the Yeovil Court team who endure my ramblings about film crews and 14 foot drop curtains!
All the local wedding suppliers who have supported the owner and myself on a mission to create the most bespoke weddings that Brympton can offer, all the brides who let me practise my wedding planning skills on them and finally a big thank you to Sara, trustee of Brympton House, owner of Brympton House Weddings, for providing 16 months of free wedding planning training whether at times I wanted it or not!

By Christmas the 1680 Grand Staircase will be once again dressed with deserved handsome drapes using a tapestry woven fabric by Gainsborough Silks who surely will miss my flying out of breath visits for yet more guidance when the project ends.
A copy of Chatsworth House early 1800's silk drapes in the Saloon Drawing room are being fitted next week following The Princes trust assistance on the stone window surrounds and freshly recreated archive panel paintwork.
Back to the day job ! Brides to see.

Take care do pop in again and enter my Alice down the rabbit hole life!
